The Democrats are ever stronger favourites to regain control of the House of Representatives. The best odds among betting apps lies with 1/7, with most firms now offering 1/10 or shorter. The Republicans are at around 6/1.
Whilst there is little dispute about which party is on course to win the House – and this is no surprise given historic trends leaning towards the party in opposition to the president – there is regarding the size of the Democrat victory among polling models.
This is largely due to districts being rated as ‘toss-ups’, which models will call closer to election day.
Back Democrats to win the Senate
The big development involves the race for the Senate. From being more or less a choice affair all year, the Democrats are now clearly ahead.
